Christmas is almost here and we’ve been busy decorating the tree, making a gingerbread house, and singing some Christmas carols for the elderly citizens in a nearby senior home. Below are pictures taken during our visit to the senior center.
Nicolas enjoyed chatting with James.
Gwynnie got a big hug from a super enthusiastic old lady.
A picture of our carolers and, below, a video taken during their performance.
In addition to singing Christmas carols, the kids gave each person a little gift . It was a shower cap tucked inside a little toilet paper roll elf.
Here are some of the elves. Aren’t they cute?
I got the idea to make these elves from this website.
The kids also spent some time decorating lunch bags that were used to wrap the gifts. The lunch bags were also adorable.
The best part of our visit was the feeling of joy that we all shared… and seeing the smile in their elderly faces…
Isn’t that what the Christmas Spirit is all about?
